Remember me
Feel my words,
let them resonate like vibrant particles,
flowing effortlessly
throughout the intricacy of your mind.
As my fingers once did on the curve of your back,
softening your fragmented heart,
despite our differences and divided path,
be proud of my boldness.
However fearful it feels to release them,
or more for you to absorb them,
simply allow them to sit, peacefully,
within the deeper depths of your heart.
Let at least a part of you still love me,
as I do you, each night the sun retreats,
while the sheets become snowy mountains
and my breath, the wind that circles them.
For your heart still beats a thousand tunes
without me,
and while tomorrow I’ll wake to its echo,
it now belongs to someone else to sing to.
